Modelling dynamic maritime traffic complexity with radial distribution functions

چکیده

The identification of maritime traffic complexity is important to guide surveillance operators towards the more critical areas for real-time monitoring situation. To identify and map effectively, this paper proposes a dynamic model based on radial distribution functions. For modelling complexity, three sub models are established first by addressing speed, course position ships. each sub-model, main variable used building function model, variation method estimate complexity. Finally, overall can be identified mapped synthesizing results from sub-models. AIS data in northern Yellow Sea China validating proposed model. show that effectively studied sea area, have an advantage some special area compared with previous By applying better monitor situation improve their working efficiency, which crucial improvement navigational safety.

Modelling Maritime Surveillance – Is Complexity Worth It?

The Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) currently provides Operations Research (OR) support to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) by using a variety of modelling tools to develop, explore and analyse mission tactics for Naval Aviation assets in maritime surveillance missions. These methods range from analytical calculations using geometric information to a complex simulation environ...

Maritime piracy situation modelling with dynamic Bayesian networks

A generative model for modelling maritime vessel behaviour is proposed. The model is a novel variant of the dynamic Bayesian network (DBN). The proposed DBN is in the form of a switching linear dynamic system (SLDS) that has been extended into a larger DBN. The application of synthetic data fabrication of maritime vessel behaviour is considered. Behaviour of various vessels in a maritime piracy...

Scattered Data Modelling Using Radial Basis Functions

Radial basis functions are traditional and powerful tools for multivariate interpolation from scattered data. This self-contained talk surveys both theoretical and practical aspects of scattered data fitting by radial basis functions. To this end, basic features of the radial basis function interpolation scheme are first reviewed, such as well-posedness, numerical stability and approximation or...

Quantum distribution functions for radial observables

The Wigner quasi-probability distribution function is a familiar tool to many working in quantum and atom optics [1]. It is primarily used in the classical-quantum correspondence where the appearance of positive and negative regions of the Wigner function gives easily understood information concerning the probability concentrations and quantum interferences present within the quantum state [2]....

Modelling distribution functions and fragmentation functions

We present examples for the calculation of the distribution and fragmentation functions using the representation in terms of non-local matrix elements of quark field operators. As specific examples, we use a simple spectator model to estimate the leading twist quark distribution functions and the fragmentation functions for a quark into a nucleon or a pion.
